I have been thinking for some time about what I could paint that would set me apart from other artists. What thing could be my thing. I have wanted it to be something quite specific, something beautiful, full of life, unique.
A while back, I was asked by a dear friend, Athena, to paint a few pieces for my other dear friends, Lauren and Madison, to place in the box she would give them along with their wedding photos. I so appreciate that she values beauty in a complete way. She always wants the entire presentation of such a valuable product to be fully beautiful. Therefore, she asked if I could paint their names to put on the box and gave me the choice to also paint their vows for them to place with the gorgeous Artifact Uprising prints she gave them, the hand dyed Frou Frou Chic ribbon, the Make & Stow box, and her logo stamped USB.
As I was painting these words, full of emotion and adoration, I realized, this could be it. I could paint vows. For a wedding present, an anniversary present, a valentines day present, a just because present. What could I possibly want to be known for more than something that represents marriage, covenant, commitment, love, longevity? God’s beautiful design showing us a picture of His love for us.
The words that literally speak that love into motion.
This is what I want to do. I want to give this to people. I want to bless them in this way.
